Harshit Saxena

Harshit Saxena is a playback singer, music composer and director. He was born on August 22, 1984 in Lucknow, India. He got his fame after joining the musical competition, Voice of India. He was having a Physiotheraphy semestral exams but he left it to attend the audition for Voice of India. He was hesitant on his decision but his father told him to choose to risk it all for the audition and he became one of the finalists and received a motorcycle for having the highest votes in one of the episode. Harshit won’t be able to take a leap on his life without the support of his family. His father becomes very proud of him and gave him his blessings.

Harshit’s passion for singing started when he was in class 8th. He adored Kishore Kumar. He grooms his voice so he could match the power and melody of Kishore. When he was 14 years old, he records his voice on Kishore’s karaoke tracks. His father bought him a home theatre where he can record his voice and since then, he started to practice for hours. He also joined the Lucknow Mahotsav event but lost for two consecutive years, but he didn’t lose hope and continue to fight until he got the first prize. He grooms through his guru, Shri Gulshan Bharti Ji.

Harshit joined many talent hunt shows to no luck, until he joined the Voice of India and got the second place next to Ishmeet Singh Sodhi. In 2008, he also joined the reality show, Jo Jeeta Wohi Super Staron STAR Plus. Joining the Voice of India, he was able to attain new heights. He had many exposures and he became a playback singer for Mr. Bhatt’s upcoming movies. He received accolades and praises from the celebrity guest but he got his biggest compliment from Lata Mangeshkar Ji stating that “he deserves to be the winner of Voice of India”.

Harshit is just a simple guy with a simple dream, but he has lots of family values. He always keeps in touch with his fans and he is thankful to them for putting him to where he is now. He has a close family relationship and everything he offers everything he does to his family. After winning on several reality shows and sing in various films, he also composed songs for different films including the Mukesh Bhatt’s film, Murder 2.
